Email admin@nodiumtech.com with your .myshopify.com address and what you were doing. A human replies within one business day, Monday to Friday, US Central time.
If your store is in the middle of an accessibility complaint and you need the evidence quickly, say so in the subject line and we will move it to the front.
Before you write
Including these three things gets you a real answer on the first reply:
- Your permanent store address, the one ending in
.myshopify.com. - What you expected to happen and what happened instead. If it concerns a particular finding, the rule name shown on the card — for example
color-contrast— is enough for us to find it. - A screenshot, if there is anything to see.
Please do not send passwords or staff account details. We never need them, and we will not ask for them. If we need to look at your store ourselves we will ask you to invite us as a staff member with the narrowest access that does the job, and you can remove us afterwards.
Questions we are asked most
Will this slow my store down?
No. The app adds nothing to your storefront — no widget, no overlay, no script tag — so it cannot affect your page speed or your Core Web Vitals. Scanning happens on our servers, in our browser, not in your shoppers’.
Is this an accessibility overlay?
No, and deliberately not. Overlays inject JavaScript that tries to rewrite your page in the visitor’s browser. They are widely criticised by disabled users, and in 2025 the US Federal Trade Commission fined an overlay vendor one million dollars over claims about what its product achieved. We took the opposite approach: we tell you what is wrong and where, and the fix goes into your own theme, where it stays and where you control it.
Then what is the Accessibility Fixes app embed?
An optional block you can turn on in your theme editor. It sends stylesheet rules only — it puts back the visible focus ring that many themes remove, and enlarges small tap targets. There is no JavaScript in it. It does not read your page, invent ARIA labels, or claim compliance. It exists because a fix written directly into a theme file disappears silently the next time you change themes, while an app embed follows the app.
Can the app change my store?
Only in one way, and only when you press the button: writing alt text onto a product image after you have read and approved the draft. It cannot touch your prices, inventory, theme files, customers, or orders — it never asks for those permissions.
Does it scan every page of my catalogue?
No, and that is on purpose. It checks one representative page of each template — home, collection, product, cart, search, content page — because your theme generates every product page from the same template. One fix there clears the same fault everywhere it appears. Crawling ten thousand near-identical pages would cost you time and tell you the same thing ten thousand times.
Will scanning place a test order or sign me up to anything?
No. The scanner is forbidden in code from clicking add to cart, buy it now, checkout, subscribe, sign up, log in, apply, place order, or pay, and that rule is covered by our automated tests. It opens pages and looks at them.
My store is password protected. Can it still be scanned?
Yes. Development stores, and stores that have not opened yet, show Shopify’s password page to visitors. The first scan notices this and asks for your storefront password, which you find in Online Store > Preferences. We keep it encrypted, use it only to get past the password page, and delete it as soon as your store opens, you remove it, or you uninstall.
Some findings say they come from an installed app. What do I do?
A large share of accessibility faults in a typical store come from third-party apps — review widgets, chat bubbles, financing banners — not from your theme, and you cannot fix their code yourself. When we can tell which app is responsible we say so, and we write you a ready-to-send message explaining the problem to that app’s developer in their own technical terms. Forward it as it is.
Does the score prove I am compliant?
No. It is a severity-weighted measure of what an automated test found on the pages it checked, and it is useful for seeing whether you are moving in the right direction. No automated tool finds every problem, and WCAG conformance is not the same thing as compliance with any particular law. That is why the app also gives you guided manual checks and keeps dated evidence: what a court or a regulator asks for is a record of what you knew and what you did about it.
How do I cancel, and what happens to my data?
Downgrade in the app or uninstall it; either stops future charges from the next billing period. When you uninstall, your login session is deleted immediately, and 48 hours later Shopify sends us an erasure request and we delete your entire scan history, screenshots, drafts and reports. You can also ask us to delete everything without uninstalling — just email us. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Can I get my evidence out before I go?
Yes. Export your reports from the app first, or ask us and we will send you an export. Once the erasure request has run, the data is gone and we cannot recover it.
Reporting a security problem
If you believe you have found a vulnerability, email admin@nodiumtech.com with “security” in the subject line. We will acknowledge within one business day, keep you updated, and we will not pursue anyone who reports a problem in good faith without accessing other merchants’ data or degrading the service.
Accessibility of this app
We sell accessibility testing, so it would be poor form to ship an inaccessible admin. If any part of A11y Suite is difficult to use with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or any other assistive technology, tell us and we will treat it as a defect, not a feature request.
